Enriching Healthcare Through Support

The Charity’s aim is to support our local hospital in its pursuit of excellence by funding essential projects that improve patient care in our community. We strive to ensure that the hospital has the resources it needs to provide world-class care and that the staff who deliver this care are valued and supported.

By investing in vital equipment and infrastructure we aim to enhance the facilities and services at the hospital to support the delivery of local health services above that able to be provided by the NHS.

That commitment is already making a difference. In 2025/26 the Charity funded an Audiology Suite enabling a new service to be provided for adults and children. The Charity also raised funding to provide specialised equipment for a new one-stop-shop Asthma Clinic for Children and Young People, meaning local families no longer face early starts and long journeys to Addenbrooke’s or King’s Lynn Queen Elizabeth Hospital just for a routine check-up.

What we do and why

This new Charity is the only registered Charity dedicated to raising funds for the Princess of Wales Hospital.  It has been established to raise money to purchase vital equipment and associated infrastructure to:

Upgrade the Minor Injuries Unit to an Urgent Treatment Centre. An Urgent Treatment Centre would offer longer opening hours and access to a GP or senior medic, so more people can be treated locally without needing to travel further afield.
