This Easter, families from Ely and the surrounding areas enjoyed a spring day out at Ben’s Yard and helped raise £300 for The Princess of Wales Hospital Charitable Trust.

The Easter Trail ran from Saturday 5th to Monday 21st April and invited families to explore the Wilding Walks, spot colourful egg signs and collect a packet of seeds to take home and plant, generously donated by Scotsdales Garden Centre. This initiative helped raise awareness of the charity, provided a fun family activity and celebrated Earth Day, all while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Stuntney Estate.

The Easter Bunny also made surprise appearances along the trail, handing out chocolate eggs and stopping for photos with visitors. The event was all about getting outside, having fun, and supporting a vital local cause. All donations went directly to The Princess of Wales Hospital Charitable Trust, which helps fund important services and equipment for the Ely hospital.

“We are incredibly grateful to the team at Ben’s Yard for choosing us as their charity partner,” said Allyson Broadhurst, Chair of the Trust. “It was heartwarming to see so many families enjoying the outdoors and showing their support for our hospital. Thank you to everyone who donated, your kindness makes a real difference.”

Ben’s Yard added:

“We were thrilled to see so many families enjoying the trail and supporting a cause that means a lot to our community. The Princess of Wales Hospital plays a key role in local healthcare and we’re proud to have contributed to their work.”
